I am about to share a life-changing secret with you. Okay, maybe not life changing, but it will certainly change the way you decorate for parties. I have been doing this for years and no one has ever been able to figure it out.
Here’s your secret weapon. A loop of scotch tape.
Yep, it really is that simple. I never fill balloons with helium, I just fake it.
All you need to do is blow up your balloons, tie them off, and add a long ribbon.
Apply a loop of tape anywhere the balloon makes contact with something else. Against a wall…
Against the ceiling…
or against another balloon. Sorry this photo is fuzzy. I really need a third hand sometimes.J
Start with a row along the wall, and build out from there.
The most important thing is to make sure you stagger the heights etc so that it looks natural.
When you are finished with the balloons, gently gather the ribbons and tie them together.
If you have a larger area of balloons, you can gather the strings into more than one group, because a real balloon bouquet would never spread out that far naturally.
I kept these balloons up for about 3 weeks before I finally decided to take them down!
Keep an eye out for more party secrets as I share the details of my son’s Lego Birthday Party… coming soon. J
