I adore Fall. Everything about it, the colors, the smells, the flavors, the cooler temperatures… pretty much everything except the ending where it transitions into winter. Since I enjoy fall so much, it is also one of my favorite times for decorating, so I put together a list of some of my favorite Fall DIY Projects.
It’s easy to be inspired by the amazing colors that can be found on a beautiful fall day in Michigan. My own backyard becomes an incredible work of art.
The same backyard serves as the inspiration for these Fall Leaf Jars. Placing the leaves in glass jars, in a sunny window, highlights the vibrant colors.
Julie, at Lilacs and Longhorns, shows us how to create a beautiful and unique “wreath” from a repurposed cabinet door.
Autumn, at It’s Always Autumn, walks us through the details for another unexpected project. Turn an old book into a pumpkin with this creative repurpose.
Embrace the beauty of nature with this simple DIY to make tealight candle holders from inexpensive gourds.
Or carve a larger hole into a faux pumpkin with the help of Jamielyn, at I Heart Naptime, to fashion a charming fall flower pot.
Speaking of pumpkin carving, Kathy and Steve, at The Garden Glove, walk us through a brilliant way to carve pumpkins with your drill.
If you aren’t in the mood to clean up pumpkin guts, Toni, at Design Dazzle, has a great tutorial for Sharpie Art Pumpkins. She also offers a free printable for the witch design and a great idea to ensure you can display your pumpkins long after Halloween.
If you already have enough pumpkins and leaves in your fall décor, you can still embrace nature and bring the outside in with this wonderful Twig Letter tutorial from Krista at The Happy Housie.
Finally, if a beautiful photograph is more your style, you can create a gorgeous piece with this wood transfer tutorial. The wood grain showing faintly through the image can add so much character to a favorite photograph.
