A couple of years ago I bought an old café set at a garage sale. Now it finally got a makeover!

I have since decided to reclaim our basement and have been trying to get rid of it all. When I re-discovered this old set I just couldn’t part with it so I dusted it off and set it out in our yard.

An old, worn out cafe table gets a fun new makeover! www.TheRefurbishedHome.comI was kinda making this up as I went along, so I started with the most neutral color in the mix (neutral also means it’s fairly easy to paint over without needing lots of coats) and painted the whole thing really well to ensure it was thoroughly sealed.

I used 3 different sizes of tape to mark off stripes that would remain grey, then painted over the whole thing with the next color. I repeated this process over and over again, trying to be strategic about the spacing (and without removing the previous tape layers). When I finally painted the last color, I held my breath and crossed my fingers, hoping that I would find the results I was hoping for…
