I love wearing headbands, but I (like so many others) have a terrible time getting them to actually stay where I want them. They are constantly slipping off the back of my head. Finally, I decided to do something about it and get them to actually stay put!

Here’s what you will need:
*Matching thread and a needle (I used a contrasting thread for this so that you could see it more easily.)
*2 bobby pins
Begin by putting the headband on the way you would like it to sit.
Slide the hair comb in where you want it. I can usually get by with just putting one on the top of my head. You may decide that you would rather have two, one on the top and one on the bottom, or even one on each side.
Use the two bobby pins to mark the edges of the comb.
Very carefully remove the band from your head and transfer it (inside out) to the bowl. You don’t want the band to “un-stretch”.
Place the comb (upside down) back between the bobby pins, and just far enough back so that the front edge will be hidden by the band.
Then begin sewing it into place.
Your stitching doesn’t need to perfect, or pretty, especially if your thread matches well.
It just needs to be thorough enough to really hold the comb in place.
When your sewing is complete you can remove the band from the bowl,
And try it on.
When you put it on, dig the comb into your hair as much as you can. The more hair it is holding the better the band will stay in place.
And now your headband will actually stay where you want it!
